US President's visit to Beijing, no women at meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping

One detail that drew attention during the meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in China was the total absence of women at the negotiating table.
The two leaders were seated across from each other at a long table, surrounded by more than a dozen officials and advisers dressed in suits, but there were no women present at the meeting from either the American or Chinese delegations.
In China, there are currently no women on the Communist Party's Politburo, the body made up of senior officials who oversee the Communist Party and the central government.
On the American side, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles is the first woman to hold the post, but she did not travel with Trump to Beijing.
Meanwhile, Monica Crowley, who accompanied the US delegation to Beijing, was not part of the meeting with Xi Jinping.
