Berisha is like a mirror where Rama adorns himself!

In the days when Albania remembers the figure of Fatos Nano, Edi Rama chose to publish a video tribute to him. A material that at first glance seemed like a tribute to the late former prime minister, but which essentially aimed to bring back to mind the dark side of Sali Berisha — Nano's imprisonment, the '97 crisis and the 1998 coup.
But after this symbolic gesture, Rama can no longer "sell" to the socialists the image of Berisha as a permanent "monster".

Because it was he himself who, after being declared "non grata", supported Berisha in every way:
• allowed and encouraged the development of "Foltores";
• enticed the Democrats to follow Berisha;
• gave him political space in parliament;
• and on January 8, ordered the police not to intervene in the violence against the DP headquarters. Can it happen in any country in the world that there was such violence and the police stood by?!
Then, in an unprecedented way, Rama used legal means, including his sister-in-law Bela, to give Berisha the seal of the Democratic Party, legally making him "his opposition".

In fact, Rama needed Berisha. In front of him, Rama projects himself as the “modern”, the “European”, the “restrained”. But in front of a figure like Lulzim Basha, he is revealed as the model of violence, corruption and criminalization of the state.
Rama seeks to give citizens Berisha’s mirror to hide his own image — an even darker one, to be honest.

By choosing to strengthen Berisha's figure, Rama effectively buried Nano's political model: that of dialogue, cooperation, and European culture. He replaced it with a policy of confrontation, manipulation, and total control.

History, however, is merciless with such models. Today, as Berisha faces his political end, destroying the DP, seemingly dragged to the doors of the courts, unwanted in international chancelleries, the figure of Fatos Nano is being respected as a symbol of a time when Albanian politics still had dignity and vision.

And this is the mirror that Rama does not want to see, but in front of his image he chose Berisha's.
