Rama paid for the speech against Basha; There is no one to pay for the speech against Rama

What happened yesterday on the boulevard was not just a weak protest; it was the clearest picture of a political reality that Berisha refuses to see: the time of Foltores is over. Not because people don’t know how to protest anymore, but because the circumstances that once fueled Foltores 1 no longer exist. Berisha and people close to him have attempted to explain yesterday’s protest as “the reconstruction or restart of Foltores 2,” but the problem is deeper and entirely political.
The first rostrum was not simply a spontaneous movement of the democratic base. It was strongly supported by a network of political and economic interests, which saw Berisha as a means to curb the reform of the Democratic Party and to displace Basha's leadership from the stage. It was financed by the very same ones who created McGonigal as a conspiracy against the former leader of the DP, Basha.
At that time, the system of interests close to the government needed a non-competitive, fragmented and preventable opposition. The first platform was tolerated, nurtured and amplified precisely for this reason: because it aimed to hit Basha, not Rama. That is why there was media, there was logistics, there was tacit institutional support and there was indirect funding from groups that did not want a reformed and unified DP.
Today? Today is a different story. Berisha wants to build Foltore 2 to hit Rama, but there is a fundamental problem: no one is interested in giving him oxygen anymore. No parallel power, no big business, no media that seeks to maintain relations with the government. No one risks for a leader who today produces noise, but does not produce influence.
Berisha no longer produces real political influence and poses no threat to the government. He is no longer a usable political instrument to change the balance; he is Rama's partner in making the final bargains, but also in making agreements to escape from SPAK.
On Podium 1, Berisha promised everything: openness, change, resurgence and unity of the democrats. He told you that he would overthrow Rama in 6 months, but he deepened the defeat even more, he talked about meritocracy but he trampled it with both feet and today he has no results to show his supporters. No real cause worth sacrificing for, no political battle that is not related to his personal troubles with justice.
In the absence of a clear political purpose and a mechanism that drives it forward, Foltorja 2 remains a movement without energy and without any real possibility of creating pressure on the government. This is why yesterday's protest was weak and why the attempt to remodel Foltorja is not producing the effect of previous years.
The reality is simple: Rama paid for the speech against Basha, because it served the government; no one can pay for the speech against Rama, because it serves no one.
