Economic freedom, this is where Albania ranks...

The data published by the "Fraser Institute" regarding the economic freedom of different countries of the world, show that Albania ranks 26th among 165 countries in total in the "Index of Economic Freedom" for the year 2022. This ranking of positions Albania not only at the top of the countries in the region, but our country also leads some of the most developed countries in Europe, being classified among the freest countries.
This index measures the comprehensive measure of the stability of a country's institutions and economic policies. Economic freedom, according to the report, is a concept based on self-ownership.
The index data shows that the degree of economic freedom is measured in five broad areas which include Government Expenditures and Tax Rates, Legal System and Property Rights, Stability of Local Currency, Freedom for International Trade and Regulation of Credit, Labor and business. The report states that the data in this edition refer to the year 2020. However, even though it is ranked 26th and compared to 2019, it has climbed 5 positions, the data show that our country has deteriorated in scoring. From 7.79 points during 2019 to 7.64 points during 2020.
Nëse do të analizonim pesë fushat mbi të cilat ndërtohet ky indeks shohim se Shqipëria ka poziocionimin më të mirë sa i përket qëndrueshmërisë së monedhës duke u renditur në vend të katërt, megjithëse krahasuar me vitin 2019-të kemi rënë me dy pozicione. Një pozicion tjetër pozitiv ruajmë sa i përket lirisë për tregti ndërkombëtare duke u renditur në vend të 14-të.
Sa i përket shpenzimeve të qeverisë Shqipëria renditet në vend të 27 mes 165 vendeve në total. Renditje jo shumë pozitive kemi në fushat e sistemit juridik dhe të drejtave pronësore ku pozicionohemi në vend të 78-të dhe rregullatorit të kredisë, punës dhe biznesit në vend të 75-të.
