2500 year old Illyrian helmet found in Croatia

Four years after the fantastic discovery of a 2500-year-old Illyrian helmet from Zakotorec i Peljesac, archaeologists found on April 11, almost in the same place, another helmet, which is even older.
The news was announced by Marta Kalebota, Croatian archaeologist from the Korcula City Museum and member of the archaeological team excavating in the Zakotorac area.
"The second helmet was found ten meters away from where the first one was found. They are a little different, we think it belongs to the 5th-6th century, which means it is a little older than the first one, but you still need to determine the details", said the new archeologist Kalebota.
Kalebota has discovered that the helmet was found in a semicircular chamber, surrounded by a large pile of stones, while the first one was found in the area near the grave with many other artifacts such as buttons, beads, ceramic vessels, amber and others.
