He left painting for journalism, but in the end he did both! Ilir Paço confesses "undressed" from the news suit

Journalist and iconic moderator of news editions on Top Channel, Ilir Paço, was invited this afternoon to "Invitation to 5" where he spoke about his passion for art and journey in the media field.
"From the fifth grade I started working, then I moved to the Pioneer House in '87.
Then I left it because in addition to general classes we also had painting classes where I had to stay inside for 6 hours to work. I didn't want to do this. I mean what kid wants to stay locked in, and so I gave up academia to pursue journalism. And I did good, now I have both" - said Paço.
18 years at Top Channel, maintaining the weight of the central edition of information, Paço, excited as he goes back in time, has spoken, among other things, about his path within the big family of Top Media.
"There are some moments when you look back and say how is it possible... How small I came. Of course, it has been a great happiness to come to Top Channel. I started from Alsace, of course I could have come earlier, but I lacked confidence. The unforgettable Dritan Hoxha then made me an offer, but I was incredulous. It was the revolution of the time in the media and I was a little skeptical. But I joined quickly" - said Paço.
For almost two decades, part of the most beloved screen of all Albanians, but what was the unforgettable moment for the well-known journalist Ilir Paço?
"An unforgettable moment was the developments in Kosovo, when we had not opened our offices yet and I covered all the developments in Kosovo. I had to report in the cold.
I was reporting on North Macedonia, in Greece as well. With the opening of our offices, I finish everything. We stabilized. Other memorable moments were the earthquake, I remember. With the leaders, we let the footage be broadcast as it was, I even remember during the live broadcast when there were aftershocks and on the broadcast we said that another earthquake had just happened" - said Paço.
It is worth noting that a few days ago he opened his exhibition "The pressure of Freedom", an artistic work done on A4 sheets of news headlines that he reads every day.
