The presidential candidate from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, gave the closing speech at this party's rally in Pristina, saying that the country is entering a new chapter in its history, based on unity, dignity and trust.

Osmani said that the campaign has served as a journey throughout Kosovo, where the concerns of citizens from all municipalities have been heard.

"To close this campaign, but at the same time to open a completely new chapter of our history. A chapter of unity, a chapter of regained dignity. A chapter where Kosovo moves forward, free, united and fearless about its future," said Osmani.

She mentioned meetings with citizens across the country, saying that from those visits the need for change and hope was clearly understood.

"We have traveled everywhere in Kosovo these days. From Prizren to Mitrovica, from Peja to Gjilan, from the villages of Drenica to the neighborhoods of Pristina. We have seen the faces of parents who wake up every morning with the fear that their children will take the path of exile. We have heard from young people who dream of a future here, in their homeland. We have heard from women who work day and night and often their merit is not recognized," she said.

According to her, Kosovo has great potential and its citizens deserve more than the current situation.

"Every meeting anywhere in Kosovo has shown us one thing: Kosovo deserves much more than what it is receiving today. I have faith in you, in the strength, wisdom and determination of this people," said Osmani.

Speaking about LDK critics, she said that the party has overcome challenges, but has not been broken.

"There are those who thought that they had overthrown us forever, that this movement was tired, that this spirit had died out. But they did not understand that the Democratic League of Kosovo was not built on power, but on the trust of people like you. That is why it will never die out," she emphasized.

Osmani added that Kosovo's history shows that every time they have been underestimated, the citizens have triumphed.

"Every time they have underestimated us, we have triumphed. Every time they have thought we could not, we have proven the opposite. Every time they have thought we would break, we have risen stronger. Every time they have attacked us, we have united more strongly. And here we are today, more united, stronger and more determined than ever before," Osmani declared at the end of his speech.
