The association, the opposition is waiting for an invitation from President Osmani

The opposition in Kosovo has not yet received an invitation from President Vjosa Osmani to discuss the draft statute of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority, even though there was a public promise for a joint table with the minority in the Assembly.
The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arben Gashi, in an interview for A2 CNN, describes the draft statute as problematic, so he insistently calls for dialogue on this issue: "Taking powers from the municipalities, Zajednica, as it has been called by Kurti , will take over the powers of the municipalities. Including the powers of the central level. The second category is the international representation of this association, and the third category of problems that is observed at the moment is the arbitration system that is established for problems between the government and the association. But there are other problems in structure and content".
Gashi has a call for Prime Minister Albin Kurti to sit in the talks, as, according to him, the association's draft statute needs revision: "Now, with the document for the association's statute, it turns out 100% that it has to do with the European charter of local self-government. So, the concept and approach of the prime minister is wrong, the document is problematic and we expect to make our contribution in order to protect the interest of the country".
On behalf of the LDK, he requests the publication of all documentation for association: "This is the only and official draft statute that Kurti has accepted, but does not agree to make it public. It is Mr. Kurti's insistence that the draft not be made public, but we insist that all the documents be published and we give our remarks and thus public pressure increases and the interest of the country is protected".
The meeting with the opposition parties is expected to be held after December 15, when President Osmani will have delivered her annual speech before the Assembly.
