With this appeal, Prime Minister Albin Kurti addressed the American readers of the New York Times media, who are a little skeptical about the powerful alliance. Through an opinion, the head of the government of Kosovo emphasizes how vital the role of NATO is for his country, taking as an example the growing threats and the Serbian terrorist attack in Banjska.
"A new front in the Balkans would serve Russia as well as Serbia: Serbia could try to gain territory through aggression, and Russia could gain a firmer grip on Serbia as a satellite, in addition to distracting the world from the war that is doing in Ukraine" , writes Kurti.
Kurti emphasizes that Serbia, under the leadership of Aleksandër Vucic, has invested a lot in its military cooperation with Russia. On the other hand, Kosovo has remained one of the most pro-Western countries in the region.
