Rifles, grenades and military bulletproof vests, another 'arsenal' of weapons found in Kosovo

Kosovo Police announced that today, February 3, 2026, during an operation in northern Mitrovica, another arsenal of weapons and illegal means that threatened the safety of citizens was found and seized.
Information about the presence of these vehicles came directly from citizens, showing the importance of citizens' cooperation with public order institutions.
Kosovo Police emphasizes that after receiving the information, immediate action was taken and a collective basement of a building on "Vasilije Ostroski" street in North Mitrovica was searched, where during the search a considerable number of weapons and ammunition were found and seized.
Among the weapons seized were three long guns, a continuous barrel, a long gun holster, 764 cartridges of various calibers, 14 magazines, 10 cartridge clips, a smoke hand grenade, two military bulletproof vests, two military jackets, a military uniform shirt, a pair of military trousers, textile wrappings and adhesive tape.
Kosovo Police emphasize that this case is another indicator of the presence of illegal weapons and tools in the north of the country and endangers the safety of the community.
