The Mystery of the Salzburg Cube

In 1885, Reidl, an employee in a small Austrian factory, discovered the mysterious Salzburg Cube. He tore open a layer of coal, finding a strange iron cube inside. The cube had many small cracks and holes, a strange color, and a deep crack in the center. Reidl had never seen anything like it, so he showed it to his boss, and together they delivered it to Vienna's Heimathaus Museum.
The following year, a professor at the museum named Adolf Gurlt studied the cube and determined that it was part of a meteorite. But further studies by the Natural History Museum in Vienna proved that the cube was not actually a meteorite, but an artificially produced object from an unknown source.
It was thought that the coal that "produced" the Salzburg Cube was at least 60 million years old.
What adds to the mystery surrounding the Cube is how some people actually believe he's gone. The reasons for this action range from the existence of a secret conspiracy to being thrown into the trash like a worthless piece of rock. This, of course, ignores the fact that the Cube actually exists, and can safely be found in its usual home, the Heimathaus Museum in Vienna. / Bota.al
