That we are a sexually frustrated people, there is no question about it! Every time a "scandal" with intimate videos comes out, the thirst to see them boils our blood. In fact, the scandal is not people's intimate lives. The scandal is the violation of their privacy and the way we expect, seek out and distribute those images. Disgusting.

This is abuse, not entertainment.

Issues arise that raise questions about the abuse of power, the state, and our taxes, and yet we waste our attention on the pink stories: who he was dating, who he had a mistress.
And, as always, the bill of shame goes to the woman first. The man may be part of the same story, but she becomes the headline, the object of judgment, and the target of commentary. This is our double-standard morality: when we should be held accountable, we become spectators; when we should be respecting privacy, we become prosecutors.
