Erion Braçe, the socialist MP, who is known for his rebellious character and bluntness, spoke this Tuesday in the studio of "Takohemi n'Vizion" hosted by moderator Fjodora Fjora, about what is happening in Albanian politics today.

Braçe, who has been an active politician since 1996, being part of the Albanian Parliament, emphasized that politics has not prevented him from living life normally.

But he also gave a message for leaders, who, according to him, become great leaders only when they allow free thought.

According to him, you cannot be a leader or a great leader if you only accept what you want to hear.

"If you want to be a truly strong leader, give freedom to all those who work with you, don't accept being told things that aren't real. If you want to be a strong leader, with support, give freedom to people, because you respect their freedom," said Brace.

Further, the socialist said that often war is strongest within the species.

Excerpts from the conversation:

Fjora: You have been in politics for many years.

Braçe: I started in 1991. As we emerged from the democratic movement, there were steps back. I saw my teachers being fired, it was a completely different thing and it became something else, I continued those 5 years, until 1996 when I ran for MP.

Fjora: Has politics given you or taken you away?

Braçe: I've done it all, reading, sports, education, relationships with people. One of the greatest benefits is that I get to know people, to learn from politicians what I might not have done otherwise. I've also done journalism, I've also pulled carrots, and I've even clashed.

Fjora: You've never had a classic profile, have you always been a rebel?

Braçe: It's part of the character.

Fjora: Has it caused you problems?

Braçe: Yes, of course not. Things now happen in public, whoever thinks that their authority is being violated by someone who does not think like them, wants the fact to be said in public, that here I am, I will shut this person up, so nothing happened that is on the other side. I myself have preferred that things happen publicly. An agreement behind the scenes, even if it has a positive impact, is still something on the other side that they suspect, attack, so it is better in public. I have noticed two things, others have also understood that I want this thing in public. And they no longer hold meetings in my presence, they repeal laws when I am there.

Fjora: Is it harder to say NO within your own kind than within your political opponent?

Braçe: Yes, it is difficult. The political opponent prejudges that thing, while within the type it is known as a violation of authority. I have always thought, if you want to be a truly strong leader, give freedom to all those who work with you, do not accept the saying of things that are not real. If you want to be a strong leader, with support, give freedom to people, because you respect their freedom.
