The Chairman of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, has commented on social media on a reaction by Prime Minister Edi Rama when asked by an Italian journalist about the name of businessman Ergys Agasi, now accused by SPAK as the head of a criminal group that, in collaboration with the director of ANA, Mirlinda Karaçanaj, have abused tenders and stolen billions of lek.
Shehaj says that now that SPAK has revealed how Ergys Agasi operated by controlling the entire state administration and the sensitive data of Albanian citizens, the prime minister's reaction when the businessman's name was mentioned can be understood even more clearly.
According to Shehaj, it is clear that Ergys Agasi is the person hiding behind Prime Minister Edi Rama and that he has worked on behalf of the head of the Government.
"That's why everyone went and reported to Agasi and took orders from Agasi, they were coordinated by him. Because Edi Rama had him as the key person, the 'shadow man' that no one was supposed to know, but who was the all-powerful person for all of Edi Rama's affairs. So that it wouldn't be known because it couldn't be Edi Rama who gave orders to a director or a minister or a deputy minister to award a tender. He had the 'shadow man' and this worried Edi Rama immensely and today we understand his embarrassment because it became clear what power he had and on whose behalf he was working", says Shehaj.
The head of Mundësia says that the prime minister has already been exposed in front of all Albanians for his links to corruption and should resign as soon as possible.
"Edi Rama can no longer continue to be the Prime Minister of Albania. He must resign as soon as possible and we must have early elections as soon as possible," he says.
