"Auto Moto Park" in Elbasan, Rama: Our ambition is to host Formula 1 races in 2030!

Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared the progress of the "Auto Moto Park " project in Albania, which has become a close collaboration with Formula 1.
Rama said that Albania's ambition is to be one of the host countries of the Formula 1 race in 2030, an idea that, according to Rama, was once impossible.
Edi Rama: We continue to work and develop the “Auto Moto Park” project, which is now a detailed project in close collaboration with Formula 1, following all the suggestions or all the criticisms of the project team. In the meantime, work continues to build the entire terrain for the project, the entrances and exits. The ambition is that Albania 2030 will also be the host country of the Formula 1 race, something unthinkable until recently and from much more prestigious places than us, but here we are, even where the bet seems impossible.
This project is an economy, it is not just a car race. Because in 365 days we will create a destination that will be centered on road safety, where from children to adults who drive a car, they will be referred to this center for the relevant tests that will be part of our being a member of the EU. Our model is the center in Vienna. As you noticed, a project has been built that within the Formula 1 family itself, is the innovation for a series of solutions that have been suggested by the technical staff.
Here in this area known as the city library, we want to make an intervention through the ministry, to restore its splendor as a cultural moment and to create a distance between the book, to have what is preserved here, and the new time, technology. From an ambitious project for the national economy to a local project that will be another jewel that will be added to the cultural monuments of Elbasan. We will continue to further that vision of the unification of Tirana with Elbasan, as a limb of a metropolis that is already more, but takes shape as the metropolis of the next decade.
