Berisha on the popular revolt: It was not called by the DP, we have our own protests!

The democratic leader has given his comment on the ongoing protest.

"We fully support every citizen's right to protest, but we have our own," the Democratic leader told reporters.

Olta Blaceri: Mr. Berisha, what is the DP's stance on the citizens who have been protesting in front of the government building for five days?

Sali Berisha: Our position is that we fully support the right of every citizen to protest. Unwaveringly.

Our position is that it is a protest that was not called by the DP and there is no call to support it.

So we, in the full morality of our stance towards protests, have no tendency... so our stance is full respect for the protest.

We cannot take any step that could create debate of any kind.

So we respect... we have emphasized and we emphasize, free citizens have the right to protest for anything they deem reasonable.

The DP has its own protest agenda, and when it calls for a protest, it is open to all citizens who want to get involved.

In this context, we, I said once again, fully respect the protest.
