A total of 17 members of the Democratic Party's National Council have signed to approve a new regulation regarding the integrity of senior figures in the party.
The proposal was signed by 17 members of the National Council, while several others were unable to sign because they are abroad.
The regulation proposed by them aims to exclude from the leadership positions of the Democratic Party of Albania persons who are connected to the Open Society Foundation and other activities related to PPPs and government tenders, which it describes as "the most corrupt in Europe."
"I just submitted to the DP the request for an agenda for the National Council on a new Regulation related to the integrity of high-ranking figures in the DP. My proposals, supported by 16 colleagues of the National Council, consist of a new approach regarding the political relationship with ideology. People who are educated with scholarships from the Left-wing Extremist Foundation Open Society Fondation, people who have been experts of this foundation, who have benefited from funds from this organization or who are indirectly or directly connected to the PPPs and tenders of the most corrupt government in Europe, are incompatible with the mandate as high-ranking officials of the DP. This is a relationship of trust with the electorate.
"We will begin to cleanse our house, the DP and Albania from this leftist ideology that has brought destruction everywhere in the world ," declared Lisandër Hoxha, one of the signatories of this initiative within the DP, yesterday.
