Erdogan "kicks out" the head of KMSH Spahiu from the inauguration of the Namazgja mosque

The head of the Muslim Community of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, will be absent from tomorrow's inauguration of the new mosque of Namazgja, built with the contribution of the Turkish government.
In addition to Turkish President Erdogan and Prime Minister Rama, the head of the Tirana Mufti Bilal Teqja will be present, who, according to the Mufti, will be the official imam of this mosque and the head of a joint Albanian-Turkish fund for its administration.
The construction of the Namazgja mosque started in 2015, while its opening was postponed amid the long-distance clash between the Turkish government of Erdogan and the KMSH led by Spahiu, which is also reflected in the absence of the latter at tomorrow's ceremony.
Erdogan considers the leaders of the KMSH to be part of the "Gülen Movement", founded and directed by the cleric who was once a close associate of Erdogan, Fethullah Gülen, who is in asylum in the USA.
After the failed coup d'état in Turkey on July 15 and 16, 2016 in Turkey, Erdogan launched a purge campaign in the country, cracking down on all elements considered to be part of the Gülen Movement.
He also asked Prime Minister Rama to expatriate all the elements of the movement to Turkey, as well as to close educational institutions linked to Gülen in Albania.
In August 2020, the Ministry of Education, then headed by Besa Shahini, closed two kindergartens in Tirana, "Mehmet Akif" and "Memorial".
In 2020, the "Hafiz Abdullah Zêmblaku" madrasah in Korça (opened in 2002) and the "Ali Korça" madrasah in Kavajë (opened in 1996) were also closed.
Two years later, in September 2022, the Ministry of Education led by Evis Kushi closed the "Zybejde Hanim" kindergarten, which, like the two kindergartens above, was part of the "Turgut Ozal" society.
In September 2022, the government also decided to close the "Mehmet Akif" non-public college. According to the Albanian government, the reason for the closure of the aforementioned institutions were the problems with the law that they had, which was opposed by the institutions in question.
The "clash" for the leadership of the KMSH also involved the American embassy that brought its high representative during the election process in 2019, with the American side that was officially just observing the process but in fact was supporting Spahi, against his rivals in the election process Ylli Gurra and Gramoz Blliku.
