'My last candidacy' Erion Veliaj tells how Endri Fuğan ran for City Councilor

As the local elections of May 14 are approaching, the Socialist Party has started work by publishing the candidates for mayor, but also those for the municipal councils.

In the last list, a name for the municipality of Tirana has attracted attention, precisely the former advisor to Prime Minister Edi Rama, Endri Fuga. After many years in the shadows, it seems that Fuga has already come to the political "front line".

Invited to the show "Zone Zero", the mayor of the municipality Erion Veliaj stated that Fuga will give his contribution as a strong voice, so that the difficult decisions that the municipality must make are communicated to the public as best as possible. He considered a mature voice, as well as a "communication strategist".

"Many people don't know, but my friend, my old friend Endri Fuga, whom I know from my activity in civil society, comes from a family engaged in public service. Starting from his grandfather, his mother, a doctor, his father, a physicist. Endri has been more in the shadows, a little more reserved, while the rest of us in public, starting with Edi Rama, myself and some colleagues are more engaged.

But I believe that there comes a time when people have to stand up and say what they think. He is a mature, lucid voice, a communication strategist. We will have to make difficult communications. I often say that our job is not to please everyone, but to serve everyone. And in order to communicate these decisions, my friend Endri will give us a hand on how to translate them into a language that people can understand. This will be my last run. And we have a lot of things to do, so in order to communicate these things, the contribution of everyone, especially Endri, will be very necessary," Veliaj declared.
