The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Blendi Klosi, spoke on the show "ÇdoKënd" by Merita Haklaj about the upcoming race in the elections for the Municipality of Tirana, where the Socialists have not yet definitively confirmed Ogerta Manastirliu as a candidate.
Klosi confirmed that she remains a key figure in the race and currently holds the role of political leader of the Tirana district. However, he stressed that the final process of selecting candidates will follow all the statutory links of the party, leaving the final decision-making open.
Asked if Manastirliu will continue to remain a candidate, Klosi said: " Manastirliu is the political leader of the Tirana district. An electoral race began that was interrupted in the middle by judicial decisions, a race that would have been won by Ogerta if it had happened. Now it is in a process that goes through all phases. The Prime Minister and the party chairman have stated that Ogerta is our candidate in the next race, a process that is open and will be followed in all party structures, including in Tirana."
" The only dilemma is that we, who are administrators of the race and administrators of internal party life, firmly adhere to the statute and procedures. Ogerta continues the race with great dedication and sincerity. He does not only have a personal race, but to manage this entire large army, where the Socialist Party receives 1/3 of the vote in all of Albania ," he added.
The Secretary General of the Socialist Party spoke about the need for a new structure in Tirana.
" We need to do another structuring in Tirana, so now Tirana has transformed from 13-14 units to 33, where 2 has been divided into three parts, etc. The large number of votes requires us to increase our forces in Tirana ," said Klosi.
Klosi emphasized, among other things, that in Tirana there is a great need for better knowledge of the list and the electorate.
