The latest statement by the leader of the Democratic Party, who said that he does not intend to participate in the citizen protest that has been taking place for days in front of the Prime Minister's Office, shows his double game.
For the first time, Berisha openly admitted that his presence in the square could damage what he calls the "civic fiber" of the protest. According to him, personal participation would give the revolt unnecessary political nuances and risk diluting the civic character that it has acquired in recent days. But he "forgot" to read the protest's anger towards the corrupt transition class, whose representative he is.
"My presence there damages the most powerful fiber of the protest, the civic fiber," Berisha declared, implying that he is aware of the fact that his figure, like Rama's, is hated by the large protest.
This statement shows his hypocrisy. In the first 5 days he called the protesters miserable and shedding crocodile tears. For the first time he openly came out with Rama against the citizens, giving up the game as if they were fierce "enemies". But when they saw the huge increase in the protest, they returned to the old avaz.
