Electoral Reform, Shehi: Let's change the rules of the game, then we'll talk about the players who will take to the field
The head of the LZK, Dashamir Shehi, commented on the electoral reform and the talks with Sali Berisha, emphasizing the need to change the rules of the electoral process before any further political discussion.
Speaking on Andrea Danglli's "Off the Record" show on A2CNN, Shehi said that it is essential to create a level playing field from the start, as according to him, if the rules are unfair, the outcome of the election is affected from the beginning.
" Changing the rules of the game once, then what players will take to the field and what uniforms they will wear is another matter, but if we do not enter a battlefield equally, from the very beginning the elections will take a path like they have taken in recent years. I have no prejudice about the number of deputies, I am interested in the way in which deputies are elected, because from an electoral process, a political derivative emerges. If you have set crooked rules from the beginning, where this type of product emerges, it is prejudiced from the beginning. Do they want 140 or 100 deputies, I am not against that. Even if there are 100 deputies, I do not see anything wrong, but the way in which deputies will be elected, this interests me more ," said Shehi.
" What they have done is a good path, I hope it goes forward. This is a process. Time has shown that this electoral formula we used was wrong ," added the head of the LZHK.
