The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, continues to denounce the manipulation of the diaspora vote, raising serious accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, the State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi and the international postal company DHL.
In a statement to the media, Berisha said that the emigrant votes were not submitted by citizens, but were "stuffed in the offices of the Socialist Party."
According to him, Celibashi is becoming complicit with DHL, by refusing to submit official documents that prove the delivery of signed envelopes by citizens.
Berisha stressed that the fact that the signatures are missing proves that the process was manipulated and the votes were fabricated. He also accused Prime Minister Rama of giving orders contrary to the official contract and demanded that the Commissioner immediately disclose the documentation.
"We have reiterated the request for transparency and will determine the legal path we will follow," said Berisha, warning that the opposition will not remain silent in the face of this scandal that, according to him, violates the integrity of the electoral process and the will of voters abroad.
