Early elections in Tirana?/ Here's what Rama said in the closed-door meeting
Prime Minister Edi Rama held a closed-door meeting with the deputy mayors of Tirana, the political leaders of the regions, the directors of Tirana Municipality and all the candidates of the capital region.
Sources for "Top Channel" indicate that the prime minister has stopped very briefly at the early elections in several municipalities in the country.
The head of government has not yet decided the "fate" of what will happen to the municipality of Tirana, which has been without a mayor since February 10, following the arrest of Erion Veliaj.
"It is not known whether we will have early elections in Tirana now or in two years ," Rama is reported to have said in a closed-door meeting.
Rama has also asked political leaders, along with two MPs, to establish working groups to refresh human resources in all municipalities in the country.
"This process for the Municipality of Tirana will take place at another time ," Rama is quoted as saying.
