Bleona Qereti: There is no reason for my career to be compared to that of Dua Lipa or Rita Ora

Singer Bleona Qereti has expressed that her artistic journey is completely different from that of very popular Albanian singers such as Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa and Rita Ora. According to her, these last two are technically British or American singers of Albanian origin.

"Dua Lipa and Rita Ora belong to the American system; they are, technically, British or American singers of Albanian origin," said Bleona. In an interview for Living, she emphasized that she finds no reason for comparisons with them because her career started and grew in Albania.

"I have no reason to compare myself to them, because our journey is completely different. They did not stand in line for bread like all of us in the 90s, they did not have a career in Albania and then move to the international scene. They were formed there, while I grew up and started here, in Albania," said Qereti.
