Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick are engaged! The former ballerina confirmed in an interview with French magazine Paris Match published on Wednesday, April 9, that she and the Rolling Stones frontman are engaged. "We've been engaged for two or three years," Hamrick, 37, said.

However, she said that she and Jagger, 81, do not plan to get married: "Maybe one day we will get married, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything."

She also spoke about the secret to their relationship: We try to support each other, be there for each other and make sure everyone is happy. That's all that matters to me and all that I strive for.

Almost two years ago, Hamrick told PEOPLE magazine about the ring when her first novel First Position was published, remaining coy about the meaning behind her massive diamond.
