The book fair "Prishtina 2023" opens today with 100 publishers from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia and the diaspora

The "Prishtina 2023" book fair opens today at 12:00.

The fair will be open to visitors every day from 9:00-20:00.

About 100 publishers from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia and the diaspora are expected to participate in this fair. The Association of Publishers of Kosovo has announced that there are about 2,000 new titles at the "Prishtina 2023" fair.

As part of the fair, several anniversaries will be marked, such as: the 120th anniversary of the birth of Ernest Koliq, the 110th anniversary of the birth of Petro Markos, and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jakov Xoxa, reports KosovaPress.

There will be over 40 activities, promotions, authors present at the fair, where the crowning of the literary activity of the greatest Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, with the publication of the seven-volume set of literary works, which include seven decades of creativity, stands out; publication and promotion of the last volume of Rexhep Qosje's diaries, a set of nine volumes.

The fair is expected to be visited by about 40,000 visitors, students, students of secondary and primary schools of Kosovo, citizens and prominent personalities from the academic, literary, political and intellectual life of Kosovo.

International and national writers, book professionals, publishers, translators and booksellers will be present.

The fair will close on June 11 at 18:00.
