Fans are the last concern for FIFA, which has set as its main objective only the maximum economic benefits from the World Cup in the USA. And the latest decision clearly shows this.

In an order, justified on grounds of stadium safety, FIFA has announced that fans are prohibited from taking water bottles with them to World Cup matches this summer. An unusual situation, considering that just a few months ago, it had announced that bottles under one liter were allowed for personal consumption.

With the new order, FIFA has explained that everything is done for safety reasons, to avoid, for example, the throwing of bottles during the event by fans. Exceptions will only be made for those who need it, such as sterilized milk or water bottles for newborns.

The rest will be forced to buy bottled water sold in stadiums at exorbitant prices. At last year's Club World Cup, prices ranged from $4 to $6 and this year's are expected to be higher, showing that the focus is all on economic benefits and not on fans who will face extreme temperatures.
