Dardanians begin preparations for matches with Iceland, aiming for promotion to

The Kosovo national team has started preparations today at the National Camp in Hajvali, for the two matches of the “Play-off” of the Nations League. The Dardanians will face Iceland on March 20 at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium, while the return match will be played on March 23 in Murcia, Spain. Coach Franco Foda has divided the team into two groups: one group has held a full session on the field, while the other group (Amir Saipi, Amir Rrahmani, Ilir Krasniqi, Baton Zabërgja, Valon Berisha and Vesel Demaku) has continued their recovery at the hotel.
Hamburg striker, Emir Sahiti, after the training expressed his enthusiasm for the next challenge: “It is a good feeling to always be part of the national team. The atmosphere is very good. We have all enjoyed ourselves together, we have become like a family and we hope to show ourselves in these two matches. We play the first match at home and we have to focus 100%. "For this match we have to concentrate only on ourselves. We have great and talented players, so we have to win this match at home. Our goal is to advance to League B of the Nations League," said Sahiti.

Meanwhile, the 16-year-old talent of Stuttgarter Kickers U17, Lirjon Abdullahu, expressed his happiness at being recruited with the first team: "I did not expect the invitation, because I am 16 years old. However, I am pleased to show my values in the A National Team. They have welcomed me very well. The others did not expect that a 16-year-old could be part of the team either. But, I thank everyone for the good reception. For a 16-year-old it is not easy to be included in the A team and show his values. It is a good feeling to play for Kosovo. I want to show everyone what I know", he said.

Kosovo aims to use the match at "Fadil Vokrri" to take the lead against Iceland, with a clear goal: promotion to League B of the Nations League and continued progress in the international arena. The Dardanët will hold their next training session tomorrow at 16:00 at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium.
