The Albanian Football Federation (AFHF) has formalized the new Final Four scheme, thus confirming the formula used in the last two seasons as a failure.
Unlike the past two years, the winner among the top 4 teams will no longer be determined by the scheme of two semi-finals and a final, but by a points competition.
At the end of the 36 weeks of the championship, the top 4 teams will have their points halved. Each of them will then have 3 matches against the other 3 rivals.
More precisely, 3 weeks plus 2 matches each. A total of 6 matches that will be played on Air Albania to finally determine the winner of the Super League.
In the event of a tie in points between two or more teams in the “Final 4” stage, the ranking will be determined according to the following criteria:
1: Points accumulated in direct matches during the championship and Final 4 phase, 2: Goal difference (scored - conceded) in direct matches during the championship and Final 4 phase , 3: Overall goal difference throughout the season (championship + Final 4).
The championship has 4 regular stages, home and away.
The standings after 36 weeks determine the participants in the Final 4.
The top four teams qualify for the Final 4.
Points in the Final 4 will be halved, based on the lowest value.
A total of 6 matches will be played and the schedule is as follows:
All matches take place at the "Air Albania" stadium.
Participants in European competitions are determined by the Final 4 rankings.
Places 9 and 10 of "Abissnet Superiore" are relegated from the category.
The eighth place "Abissnet Superiore" goes to the "play out".
