The two clubs come together, Inter and Milan "block" the ultras in the stadium

After the strong blow dealt by the investigations into the dark world of ultras, known as the "Doppia Curva" file, the Milan and Inter clubs have decided to take tough and exemplary measures to clean up the environment around the "San Siro" stadium.
According to the Corriere della Sera, both clubs have categorically rejected requests to renew the season tickets of hundreds of fans deemed "unsuitable", in accordance with the codes of ethics signed by the directors of the clubs. The decision by Milan and Inter is part of a wider campaign aimed at eradicating the links between organised fandom and criminal activity which, according to the Milan prosecutor's office and the investigations led by prosecutor Paolo Storari, had penetrated deep into the heart of Inter and Milan's ultras.
The excluded fans are individuals who have previously been subject to a “Daspos” measure (ban on entering the stadium), punished for violent behavior or directly linked to the investigation that uncovered two murders linked to the ultras. In addition to banning unpopular fans from entering the stadium, the clubs have also imposed a total ban on the transfer of season tickets for the sensitive sectors in the “Curva Sud” (Milan) and the “Nord” (Inter).
This means that season tickets will no longer be able to be transferred to third parties, a practice that was previously used to keep the stands under control by individuals linked to organized structures. The measures do not end there. The new security plan for next season at the San Siro stadium foresees the use of facial recognition technology at checkpoints to identify and block the entry of problematic individuals. This system, recently approved by the data protection authority, is expected to come into force at the start of the new football season.
