His contract with Rayo ends, but Ivan Balliu stays in La Liga

For years, Ivan Balliu has become a fixed player in the representative team, but unfortunately for him, these years he has suffered a lot from the presence of Hysaj, as Shkodran has always been the first preference, except for rare cases like in the last meeting of League of Nations, against Georgia, where Sylvinho activated him from the first minute.
Despite not being a young age, 32 years old, Balliu plays at high levels, in La Liga, where he is a regular starter in his Rayo Vallecano team. Balliu has a contract with the club from Madrid until the end of this season, June 2025, a detail which has caused his name to end up in the transfer market.
According to the Spanish media, Balliu is being lured by Valencia as the Spanish club is looking for an alternative for the defense after Thierry's injury. It is not the first time that Valencia is interested in Balli, as they have requested the services of the Red and Black winger in the past.
From January 1 of next year, Balliu is free to negotiate with any team, but always according to the Spanish media, Rayo has no intention of letting the player go, therefore they are expected to offer him a contract renewal, in order not to risk lose him for free at the end of the season.
