Kosovo loses the World Cup, leaves with its head held high

The Albanian dream of the World Cup was dashed in Pristina, with Kosovo being defeated 0-1 by Turkey in the World Cup play-off final.

The challenge played at "Fadil Vokrri" provided emotions and spectacle, but in the end, it was not the Albanians who rejoiced.

The Turks were the ones who appeared most demanding, but after 20 minutes, the "Dardans" woke up.

In the 29th minute, Asllani tried a shot from distance, with the ball being deflected by goalkeeper Çakir.

The only goal of the match came in the 53rd minute, when Akturkoglu was at the right time and place to push the ball towards the net.

The "Dardans" tried again to find the equalizer, but failed to penetrate the Turkish defense.
