What started as a summer friendly between Elbasan and Pogradec, at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium, ended in shameful scenes of violence and tension.
After the match, a verbal altercation between players from both teams escalated into a physical altercation in the middle of the field. The situation escalated further when the fight also involved members of the stadium staff and fans in the stands.
Pogradec's players were physically attacked and attacked with objects by local fans, while the relevant staff failed to prevent the clash from escalating.
