Real Madrid president Florentino Perez presided over the ceremony to present the 2025 crest to club members who have celebrated 50 and 60 years of uninterrupted loyalty to "Los Blancos".
"You have given everything for this club and you have achieved something very difficult: making Real Madrid the most beloved and admired sporting institution in the world. It would not be what it is without your efforts, sacrifice and hard work. These gold and brilliant medals, which you will soon receive, are a symbol of what you represent for this club ," the president commented in his speech.
"We are a big family. And our unity is our greatest strength. This unity is what has allowed us to face the great challenges of our history and what allows us to enjoy the institutional stability that is essential to achieve everything we have. We have more than 630 million fans. We are a club that is part of people's hearts, because being a Real Madrid fan is a way of facing life and a way of doing things. It means never giving up," he said, acknowledging the club's values.
When it came to sporting matters, he wanted to specifically mention Luka Modric and Carlo Ancelotti.
"It's been a year since Real Madrid won their fifteenth European Cup in London. And this season, our team has achieved two titles that add to a list of achievements that will be very difficult to compare: the sixth European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, Real Madrid's ninth world title. But, you know that at this club we always want more. And now, we are excited again for the Club World Cup that will be held in the United States," he concluded.
