United record 500 clean sheets in the Premier League

Manchester United became the first team to record 500 clean sheets in Premier League history after Sunday's 3-0 triumph over Everton.

Alejandro Garnacho's sensational goal gave the Red Devils the lead, a finish that was followed by goals from Rashford and Martial.

For the 20-time champions of England, Andre Onana stood out and kept the goal intact for the third challenge in a row, after not conceding a goal against Fulham and Luton Town.

In the "Golden Glove" ranking for the 2023/24 edition in England, the Cameroonian goalkeeper ranks first with five clean sheets. However, United registered a more important record in the duel held on Merseyside.

Manchester United kept a clean sheet for the 500th time in a Premier League game since its re-establishment in 1992 from its former English First Division name. This achievement was secured in the 1,203 game for the "Red Devils", while they are followed by Chelsea with 476, Liverpool with 460 and Arsenal with 456.

Most of Manchester United's clean sheets have been recorded by goalkeepers who have stayed for a relatively long time at Old Trafford. David de Gea has kept more clean sheets for the Devils than any other goalkeeper, a whopping 147 times. The Spanish guard is followed by Peter Schmeichel with 112 clean sheets and Edwin Van der Sar with 94 clean sheets.

The list continues with the Frenchman Fabien Barthez with 34 wickets untouched, Roy Carrol with 26, Tim Hoëard and Tomasz Kuszaczak with 16, Raimond van der Gouë with 12, Mark Bosnich with 11 and Anders Lindergaard with 9 wickets without conceding. Goalkeepers who have been very little active with Manchester United, but who have still left their mark on this record achievement.

Of course, the whites are forced to increase the seasonal payment, while if the parties find a common language, then at Juventus they would feel protected against the offers of the market, as they would ask for a large amount to give up the player of the date of birth 2000.
