The German Cup delivered one of its biggest surprises today, as third-tier club Arminia Bielefeld eliminated favorites Bayer Leverkusen.
Xabi Alonso's team, even though they were playing away, were the clear favorites in this challenge. They found the advantage through Tah in the first minutes, but goals from Vorl and Groser brought about the upset in the first half and ruined every plan of the "Aspirinen".
Leverkusen tried to attack until the end to equalize the score but failed and was thus eliminated from the tournament, with Arminia now going to the final against the winner of the duel between Stuttgart and Leipzig.
