Elon Musk has denied reports that he will step down as head of DOGE. The billionaire dismissed all rumors that he would step down from his role in Donald Trump's administration.
Musk's comment followed a tweet from White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt, who also said the reports were not true.
The news of Musk's departure was published by Politico, then by all foreign media.
"US President Donald Trump has told people in his inner circle that Elon Musk will soon resign from his position in the US government," Politico writes.
According to a report obtained by Politico, Musk would resign in the coming weeks as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), which was formed with the aim of drastically cutting government spending.
