South Korea is preparing to announce emergency measures to support its auto industry next week, following the steep tariffs imposed by Donald Trump.
According to statements by the country's Prime Minister, Han Deok-soo, Trump's new 26% tariffs on car exports to the US are expected to significantly burden the South Korean economy.
Han added that South Korea's trade minister will visit the United States as soon as possible, with the aim of participating in negotiations to address the crisis.
In his latest statements, the country's Finance Minister pledged to use every tool at his disposal to stabilize financial markets in the event of major volatility.
