Albanian cinematography icon Margarita Xhepa breathed her last a day ago, a few hours after her 91st birthday.
The body of the great actress has arrived at the National Opera and Ballet Theater, and tributes have begun.

Margarita Xhepa was born on April 2, 1934 in the city of Lushnja. She left behind hundreds of roles, for which she was honored with the title “Nder i Kombit” and the decoration “Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg”. However, she considered the greatest pride in life to be the three children she left behind, one of whom, Ndriçim Xhepa, followed in the actress’s footsteps, excelling equally in the Albanian art scene.
