A rare and touching piece of news comes from Germany: according to the daily 'Bild', Michael Schumacher, Formula 1 legend, traveled by helicopter last week to be with his family at a very special moment - the birth of his first granddaughter, Millie, the daughter of Gina-Maria Schumacher.
The seven-time world champion has not been seen in public since December 2013, when he suffered a serious skiing accident in the French Alps, which left him with severe brain damage. Since then, his health has been kept completely private by his family, who request maximum respect for his privacy.
According to Bild, Schumacher flew from his residence in Majorca, where he was on holiday, to the family villa in Gland, Switzerland, to witness the birth of his granddaughter. A source close to the family said that relatives hope that this special family moment will bring a positive emotional boost to the former legendary driver.
In October 2024, the same media outlet revealed that Schumacher had attended the wedding of his daughter Gina-Maria to Jan Beckhe in Mallorca – a ceremony where the use of mobile phones was strictly prohibited to maintain the total privacy of the event.
We recall that a few months ago, in a charity initiative, Schumacher had signed a helmet belonging to former pilot Jackie Stewart, with the help of his wife, in a symbolic gesture that thrilled the world of motorsport.
