Former Manchester City captain analyzes Broja's recent performance: He

Everton manager David Moyes gave Armando Broja a chance to start in the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest at the weekend. Although the Albanian striker failed to find the net, he was still one of the most active players in the game for his team.

However, Michael Ball, the former Everton defender who also played for Manchester City and held the captain's armband for the "citizens", believes that this was a missed opportunity for Broj, although he tried to give everything for the minutes he was on the field.

"Playing only his second game as a starter for Everton, Armando Broja had his moments in the first half against Nottingham Forest. He was trying to break through and had a nice run between 2-3 defenders. But when we got to those key areas, we seemed to come back to control ourselves. We seemed to not want to lose the ball and were worried about the counter-attack," he said in his editorial for the Liverpool Echo.

"It's been difficult for Armando with the injuries he's been through and trying to adapt to a new style of play in a different team. Although it looks like he has time to play, he's still only 23 and is trying to learn the game.

"It was good to see Moje give him an opportunity, but it somehow feels like a missed opportunity," Boll said of the Albanian striker.
