CEC returns decriminalization form to Ilir Meta, reason revealed

The Central Election Commission has returned the decriminalization form to Ilir Meta in prison.
The leader of the PL, who has been in prison since October last year, has not declared a ban in 1992 for rebellion, as well as the judicial process in the High Court for the wiretapping of Dritan Prifti.
Ilir Meta is running for MP on the open list of the Democratic Party - Alliance for a Greater Albania, in the Tirana district.
The PL President has been in prison since October 21, 2024, after being arrested in the Casa Italia area in Tirana.
Meta is accused by SPAK of "corruption", "money laundering" and "hiding assets", in connection with the joint CEZ-DIA files, the lobbying of the former LSI in the US and his family's expenses.
For him, the GJKKO and the Court of Appeal have left in force the measure of "prison arrest", causing Meta to be kept isolated in the "Jordan Misja" detention center in the capital, or as it is otherwise known, 313.
