Top Channel reacts after the incident that occurred during the live broadcast of Big Brother Albania

Top Channel firmly condemns any form of violence and reiterates its commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics, public responsibility and safe communication. Big Brother Albania is an entertainment format that promotes play, spontaneity and emotion – but never violence. This incident is in complete contradiction to the spirit of the program and the fundamental principles on which our television platform operates.
The production had no information, signal or indication that could have led to the prediction of such behavior. The event occurred unexpectedly, without any provocation related to the format, and is deeply reprehensible. Although reality television formats can contain surprises and tensions, the boundaries are clear and non-negotiable – and violence is not tolerated under any circumstances.
After the incident, the show's host, Ledion Liço, reacted directly with a statement to the public:
"A violent, unacceptable and deeply disturbing act occurred at a moment that should have been the end of an experience, not the beginning of such a reaction. This behavior does not represent the values of Top Channel nor those of Big Brother Albania."
"This incident was not organized, instigated or foreseeable by the production. The reality of a live format carries surprises, but that never justifies violence."
Immediately after the incident, the person responsible was definitively excluded from any further involvement in the program and was accompanied by the relevant authorities to the police station, where legal procedures are being followed in accordance with the legislation in force. Security and broadcasting protocols are under full review, and every necessary measure will be taken to ensure that such situations do not occur again in the future.
Top Channel announces that it will continue to cooperate closely with the responsible institutions and will keep the public informed of any further developments. The integrity of the content, the safety of the participants and respect for the audience remain fundamental principles of the work of this media institution.
