Another historic evening for Albanians, Kosovo joins Albania in the World Cup

Albanians continue to make history. Two days after Albania reached the World Cup play-offs, Kosovo achieved the same feat.

The "Dardans" needed just one point against Slovenia, but they went to Ljubljana and made the most of it, triumphing 0-2.

The challenge started off briskly for Franco Foda's team, who found the lead in the 6th minute through Fisnik Asllani, who after a beautiful move in the area and a right-footed shot beat Oblak.

In the 16th minute, Vojvoda shot and Asllani deflected the ball towards Oblak, but the latter cleared the ball at the last moment. The first half ended with Kosovo leading 1-0.

In the second half, things became easier for the "Dardans", thanks to the nervousness of Stojanovic, who was punished with two yellow cards within 6 minutes, leaving the home team with 10 players.

Immediately after that, Foda's team went on the attack to find the goal of calm, which came spectacularly from the Slovenians themselves.

In the 64th minute, Muslija threw a ball to the other side of the field, but Karničnik, who tried to clear it, mistakenly took it into his own goal, scoring a super own goal that even stunned Oblak.

With this victory, Kosovo manages to secure second place in Group B and the last match will be with Switzerland in Pristina, which has practically closed the qualification issue.
