Trump demands release of hostages, Hamas outlines conditions for Gaza ceasefire

Hamas has made public its demands for an end to the war in Gaza and for the release of the Israeli hostages it still holds in its territory.
According to the group's statement, the conditions presented remain the same since the acceptance of some elements of the peace plan proposed by former US President Donald Trump last week.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said the group is demanding a "permanent and comprehensive ceasefire" as well as "a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza."
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stressed that the war will not stop without the release of all hostages, the handover of power by Hamas, and the complete disarmament of the group.
Hamas has reiterated that the release of the hostages can only happen if its demands are met, stressing that it is ready to transfer power to other Palestinian authorities, but without accepting the condition of disarmament.
