Guardiola's replacement is coming, the Catalan's "pupil" signs a three-year contract with Manchester City

Enzo Maresca has signed a three-year contract with Manchester City, becoming Pep Guardiola's successor on the bench of the English runners-up.
According to reports from renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Maresca's deal with City will keep him at the club until 2029 and he is expected to play an important role in transfer decisions.
His appointment comes after a period of change in the career of the Italian coach, who was fired by Chelsea following poor results and disagreements with the London club's management.
Maresca was previously part of Manchester City's technical staff, where he worked alongside Guardiola before taking charge of Leicester City and then being appointed Chelsea manager for the 2024–25 season.
He has managed 92 matches with Chelsea, recording 55 wins, 16 draws and 21 losses.
At the farewell ceremony, Guardiola said that the club will continue to operate in a stable manner and that any new manager will be fully supported by Manchester City's management. However, the club has yet to officially confirm a deal for his successor.
