Hannah Murray has shared one of the most difficult periods of her life, speaking openly about the psychotic crisis she experienced after becoming involved in a group associated with spiritual well-being practices. The British actress, known for her role as Gilly in Game of Thrones, revealed that the experience directly affected her mental health and later led to her diagnosis with bipolar disorder.

In a recent interview, Murray revealed that it all started while filming the 2017 film “Detroit,” when she met a person who introduced herself as an “energy healer.” Initially, she saw the experience as a way to find peace and emotional balance, but over time, she became increasingly involved in expensive courses and rituals related to spirituality and “energy healing.”

The actress explained that trusting the people who introduced her to this group made her not question the practices and their psychological impact. According to her, the situation reached its peak when she began to experience manic thoughts and loss of touch with reality.

Murray recalled that during an event in London she suffered a severe psychological crisis, where she thought she had an "extraordinary mission" and could change the world. She also said that the group members reacted to her condition with rituals and behaviors that she now finds disturbing.

Through her autobiographical book, the actress aims to show that no one is immune to psychological manipulation and that mental health problems can affect anyone, regardless of education or social status.
