An amount of 20,000 euros in debt has become the cause of a bloody conflict with two people from the world of crime, Behar Bajri and Genc Tafilaj, who in 2013 were serving their sentence in Lezha prison.
Previously, the two characters of the world of crime did not know each other, but their acquaintance took place within the premises of the Lezha prison, where Behar Bajri sought the help of Genci Tafilaj.
Admir Tafilaj, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Arben Zylyftari in Shkodër and Genci Tafilaj's brother, who had asked Genci to help Behar for a job, became the intermediary for this recognition.
In the investigative file " Metamorfoza " provided by " Ora News" it is said that in addition to Admir Tafilaj, Dorian Duli, a character of the underworld who was on the list to be killed by Behar Bajri, was also a mediator for this meeting.
Bajri's request for help consisted in opening a betting point in the city of Shkodra, and he would manage this point from prison, while his men would be in the field.
Tafilaj, from the prison cells of Lezha, managed to help Bajri to open this point, but over time, the people of Behar Bajri were 20 thousand euros in debt.
This amount had to be returned and Behar Bajri did not answer for this amount of euros, avoiding it, which led to the clash between Tafilaj and Behar Bajri inside the prison.
The two sides, even though they were in the same prison, sparred with each other after planning physical attacks.
Even according to Genci Tafilaj, Behari had opened up in prison that he was ready to pay sums of money to stab Tafilaj.
Due to this situation and the information that reached the ears of the prison managers, the decision was made to transfer them to other prisons, avoiding this clash between the two Shkodran citizens who were serving their sentence.
Genci Tafilaj gave this statement to the officers of the National Bureau of Investigation on April 9, 2024, explaining the main reason why Behar Bajri was angry with him and wanted to kill Tafilaj, Dorian Duli and Ibrahim Lici.
In his testimony, Genci Tafilaj does not cry that:
".. .I want to say that I did not know this person Behar Brajović alias Bajri when I was free.
But I got in touch with him through my brother Admir Tafilaj when Behari was arrested and I met him in the premises of the Lezha prison.
I remember that it was the year 2012-2013 and because of the acquaintance that my brother Admir had made with Behar, I contacted this person, who asked me for a favor in order to help him open a gambling point in the city of Shkodra...".
Further, Tafilaj adds that:
".. .my friend, Dorian Duli, was also the intermediary for the opening of this point of fortune games. During my stay in prison, I did not like Behar Brajović's behavior because he was quarrelsome with me and other people.
I also asked my brother Admir not to approach this person again.... ".
The first relationship with Behar Bajri started while they were in prison because at the gambling point that Tafilaj had helped him open, Behar's people were in debt about 20 thousand euros and he did not answer to return this money.
". ..my friend Dorian Duli was also included in the negotiations to receive the amount of 20,000 euros.
Behari was even arrogant towards me when Admir and I asked him to return the money.
For this reason, I wanted to have a physical confrontation with him in prison, but I didn't.
Word had gotten out that I wanted to have a conflict and we were both transferred to other prisons.
I remember him getting word out in prison that he was paying a lot of money to kill me.
I remember that Behari interfered with his acquaintances so that I could not get out of prison on bail and I was transferred several times to different prisons because of him..." Genci Tafilaj told SPAK.
In front of the BKH officers, Tafilaj explained that: "...I suspect that these attacks by Behar in my direction came because I attacked him in the prison premises as I explained above and he kept himself as important person wanted to take revenge...".
Furthermore, Tafilaj has shown that he has a social connection with Dorian Dulin, whom I met in 2001 in prison and they created their friendship and still maintain it today.
"... because of my friendship with Dorian Dulin, I also learned about the fact that Behari sought to harm Dorian Dulin as well just because he was my relationship... " - says Tafilaj.
