Fatal accident in Durrës / The 18-year-old is being escorted to her final home today amidst pain and tears, the Court leaves the driver of the 'BMW X5' in prison

Vikena Greku, the 18-year-old who lost her life in the serious accident that occurred on Thursday night at Ura e Dajlanit, will be escorted today at noon to her final residence, in the village of Dyshnik, Berat. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that caused the fatal accident, Arbër Xhaxhaj from Fier, appeared before the court today for an assessment of the arrest and the assignment of a security measure. The court granted the measure 'arrest with imprisonment'.

He was drunk and driving at high speed while driving a BMW X5 on the Tirana-Durrës route.

The vehicle broke through the protective barriers and ended up many meters away, in a flower shop. As a result of the accident, 18-year-old Greku lost her life, while Xhaxhaj and two pedestrians were slightly injured.

In an extremely serious psychological state, Xhaxhaj arrived in handcuffs at the Durrës Court, where he was informed of the security measures.
